During the summer of 2025, the NVHS robotics team hosted our first sessions of summer camp! The camp is open to rising 3rd through 5th graders. During camp, students will have the opportunity to understand key concepts of the design, programming, and building process as they participate in a creative VEX IQ challenge and are mentored by current NVHS robotics team members. The 2025 summer camp has now passed, but we will be hosting more in the future. Check back here for more camp opportunities!
SUMMER 2025
Summer 2025 was our first year of summer camp! This year, we ran two sessions and had 11 students in session 1, and 10 in session 2. We had 7 student mentors and 2 sponsors to organize and set up the camp during the two weeks. Each week, the students learned about essential aspects of building a robot and were able to use their skills on a tournament during the last day of camp. The students learned about various mechanisms that are included in a robot, practiced their driving and programming skills through mini challenges, and explored many divisions of engineering through daily competitions.
Week 1: 7/28/25 - 8/1/25
Week 2: 8/4/25 - 8/8/25
